window towards the north

•February 20, 2009 • 1 Comment

as the winter becomes more pervasive and the cries of my soul tear for sliding slopes, my pocket book lands me in a library where everyone including the workers won’t shut up. the saving grace of this moment is the north window. snow is falling and spring is held back with white soldiers of enforcement(if my camera was here i’d show you sorry). what comes next?

should we want the next or enjoy today. can we participate with these two realities at the same time or do we lack one if the other is upon us. a lot of questions come to mind with the present state of our nation on my mind.

we consume and consume and consume. how do we learn not to?

conflicted ambitions

as the winter day in the midwest fights the spring renewal, the mind surrounds this reality more clearly than ever. what’s next? or am I already there trying to except it or fight it? the fog this morning was thick, for the white surface mingaled in the air with holy desperation of recreating the image longed for…color, growth, new. with no control the fog lost the battle and the blanket is returning with snuggles of cotton as far a I can see (which is out one window about 100ft. to the green pines of seclustion). control seems to become the overlapping texture of our lives. do we need it, can we obtain it, is there a mixture of both that leads to color, growth, new? without it, the river runs fast and flushes clean with it, more energy is created and given. what are we looking for?
